Airports Near Antelope Canyon: Flights to Page, AZ

Page, Arizona has its own airport, but commercial service there is limited and changes often. Most visitors fly into Las Vegas or Phoenix and drive four to five hours, and for many that turns out to be both cheaper and simpler than chasing a regional connection.

Here is how the realistic options compare.

Airports ranked by drive time

AirportDrive to PageNotes
Page Municipal (PGA)10 minutesLimited commercial service, verify before planning around it
Flagstaff Pulliam (FLG)About 2 hr 15 minSmall regional airport, usually connects through a hub
St. George (SGU)About 3 hr 30 minSmall, limited routes, handy from the west
Las Vegas Harry Reid (LAS)About 4 hr 30 minMajor hub, most flights, often cheapest fares
Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX)About 4 hr 30 minMajor hub, excellent service, wide rental car choice
Salt Lake City (SLC)About 6 hoursMajor hub, worth it only if fares are much better

The honest recommendation

For most visitors, Las Vegas or Phoenix is the right answer. Both are major hubs with frequent flights, competitive fares, and every rental car company you would want. The four and a half hour drive is genuinely scenic rather than something to endure.

Las Vegas tends to edge out Phoenix on fares and pairs naturally with Zion and Bryce. Phoenix pairs better with Sedona and Flagstaff. Route details are in our guides for Las Vegas and Phoenix.

About flying into Page directly

Page Municipal Airport is minutes from town and would obviously be the most convenient option. The catch is that scheduled commercial service to PGA has come and gone over the years, and routes are limited when they do run.

It is worth checking current schedules, and if there is a workable flight it saves you a long drive. Just do not build an itinerary around it without confirming the flight exists for your dates, and have a backup plan.

You will need a rental car

Whichever airport you choose, plan on renting a car. Page has no meaningful public transit, the canyon check-in is outside the town center, and the other attractions are spread out. Rental availability in Page itself is thin, so book your car at the airport you fly into.

Timing your arrival

If you land in Las Vegas or Phoenix in the afternoon, you will arrive in Page after dark. Plan your canyon tour for the following day rather than trying to make one the same day you fly.

Also watch the clock: Page observes Navajo Nation daylight saving while Nevada and most of Arizona do not, so local time in Page may be ahead of where you flew from. Your tour time is local to Page.

Book the canyon before you book the flight

Tours are limited by permit and fill weeks ahead in summer. It is far easier to build flights around a confirmed tour time than to find a tour that fits flights you already bought.

Check tour availability and reserve, then book travel around it. Our guide to getting to Page covers driving and tour options too.
