Where is Antelope Canyon? It Is Remote

So what does this mean for you as a visitor? Since Antelope Canyon is in a remote area, it means that you will have to do some planning. Your group does not want to head over to Arizona and become lost. You cannot just get up from your bed and walk over to Antelope Canyon. Your group will need to rent a car and have access to some sort of GPS or map.

Another idea you will want to consider is having a good supply of food and water for yourself. This way you do not get dehydrated and hungry out in the middle of nowhere. It is also important for you to keep your car’s gasoline tank full or at least halfway full. If you are out trying to get to a location, there may not be a gas station for a really long time. This allows you to travel to where you need to go without running out of gas. The last thing you want is to be lost on your vacation.

Page, Arizona

The American Southwest

If you have never visited the American Southwest or Arizona, there are some things that you should know. It does get extremely hot. It is not a humid hot, it is a dry desert hot. You will want to keep a water bottle with you at all times. The air conditioner will become your best friend as well when traveling. You may want to get some lotion if your skin is prone to cracking and becoming dry.

Since you are in desert territory, the nights do get chilly. You will want to pack some layers to stay warm during the night. Antelope Canyon is remote and not extremely populated. You will need a car because walking to places is not possible. Sites and towns are spread out so a car is the best way to get around.
